Teamsters Local 104 Members at Finley Distributing Overwhelmingly Ratify Landmark, Life-Changing Agreement

TUCSON, AZ – [MAY 18TH, 2025] – Teamsters Local 104 is proud to announce that yesterday, members employed at Finley Distributing in Tucson voted by an overwhelming 98% to ratify a transformative new three-year collective bargaining agreement. This landmark victory was achieved through strategic planning and the unwavering collective solidarity of our members, successfully averting a potential strike.

"This is a HUGE win for our hardworking members at Finley Distributing," said Josh Graves, Vice-President of Teamsters Local 104. "This contract is truly life-changing, a testament to what can be accomplished when Teamsters stand united and fight for what they deserve. The gains made here will significantly improve the lives of our members and their families. It proves once again: When Teamsters fight, Teamsters win!"

Graves continued, "I want to extend our profound gratitude to Business Representative Mike Sanchez and our dedicated Stewards Josh Bacoccini, Mike Killion, and Troy Genzman. Their tireless efforts and leadership at the bargaining table were instrumental in achieving this outstanding outcome."

Teamsters Local 104 also extends a special thanks to our brothers and sisters at Teamster Locals 653 and 125, and SMART Local 807, who stood with us in solidarity throughout this fight. Your support was invaluable.

Key Highlights of the New Agreement Include:

• Significant Wage Increases:

  • Year 1: $5.00 per hour (24% increase)

  • Year 2: $1.25 per hour (5% increase)

  • Year 3: $1.25 per hour (4% increase)

  • Totaling a 33% increase over the life of the contract.

  • An additional $1.00 per hour for members with 15 or more years of service.

  • Elimination of the two-tier pay scale, ensuring equal pay for equal work.

• Improved Health Insurance:

  • Member cost-share reduced from a 90/10 split to a more favorable 95/5 split.

• NEW Pension Benefits:

  • Introduction of a pension plan with contributions of:

    • Year 1: $2.00 per hour

    • Year 2: $2.25 per hour

    • Year 3: $2.50 per hour

  • Paid on all compensable hours.

• Additional Holiday:

  • One additional personal holiday added.

• Further Enhancements:

  • Added SIP 401K plan.

  • Added $0.50 per hour trainer pay.

  • Added strengthened strike extension language.

  • Added new hire orientation language.

  • Added an additional paid overtime break.

  • Added all Paid Time Off (PTO) in the calculation of overtime pay.

This agreement sets a new standard and demonstrates the power of collective bargaining when members are engaged and united. Teamsters Local 104 is committed to continuing this fight for all our members across every sector.

CONTRACT WIN AT MONDELEZ!

Today the members at Mondelez ratified a HUGE new 5 year contract by 96%. The members stayed united and were willing to strike if that's what it took.
