CBA Frontier Airlines 9-27-2007 thorugh 9-26-2011 Update on Frontier Airlines as of January 26, 2015: The Union and the Company reached an impasse and requested Mediation with the National Mediation Board. The first joint session scheduled for December 18-19 was canceled due the Federal Congress not providing any funding to the NMB beyond December 11th. New meetings have been scheduled for February 25-27 in Memphis, TN. The IBT Director of Economics has been assigned to assist in negotiations along with a Representative of the IBT Legal Department. The NMB Mediator, Mike Tosi, has assured the Union that extended negotiation sessions will be scheduled for future dates when we meet in Memphis. Regarding the “WARN Act” and the announcement of contracting out 1,300 jobs in Denver and Milwaukee, Local 455 has filed the initial grievance with the request of an expedited Arbitration within 45 days. The Union requested that the Company waive the lower steps of the grievance process and bring the matter directly to a final and binding Arbitration. IBT Attorneys Ed Gleason and Scott Kimbell have been assigned to file for an injunction in case the Arbitration is not expedited prior to any work reduction. The Company still refuses to answer any questions regarding the “Reduction in Force”. |
